INVENTOR EXTRAORDINAIRE
Inventor Extraordinaire is a complete fashion range which I developed over my Honours year for Fashion Design. The range was based on a hypothetical female inventor who’s character embodied the abstract theories and methodologies which developed through a research dissertation. My research explored film, music and fashion as creative industries within popular culture, questioning why predictable, formula based products were both prevalent and lucrative. The fashion range focused on innovation, specifically using innovative textile, shaping and fastening solutions to creatively address the form and function of a fashion range.
